BOARD MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING – BUILDING

APRIL 30, 2008

Those in attendance were the current Board of Directors and the new incoming Board of Directors and a few guests along with Litteken Construction.

Alan Litteken explained to us that all the walls and roof need to come down, and he needs to raise the foundation as it has sunk considerably over the years. These items were not originally bid on. Couldn’t determine this until this point in the destruction mode. He estimates that extra cost not originally in the bid at $8000.00.

Much discussion ensued, with many questions and answers. Motion made and seconded to approve this $8000.00 venture. Vote called, all those voting members in attendance in favor, motion passed.

Next was discussion about the floor. While this is tore up, do we want to replace the floor now or wait for the second phase as originally planned? Litteken suggests now, it will be much easier on all to do it when no walls or roof are in. Then discussion about wood or concrete and those cost variances. That estimated extra cost not in original bid is $16,000.

Much discussion ensued, with many questions and answers. Motion made and seconded to approve this $16,000.00 venture for the new floor in this first phase. Vote called, all those voting members in attendance in favor, motion passed.

The new walls will be 2 x 6 wall frame. Deb Stratmann will take to Mark Stratmann in regards to possibly getting the materials and possibly holding the loan and working with Litteken on this.?

Also Mike Huelsmann suggested that Alan Litteken work with Hustedde for a better bid on the concrete. He has worked with us before.

Now, all the chairs need to come out and be stored somewhere.

Excavator to take down everything between lobby and stage.

We need to clean out the office and lobby also just for safety reasons

Storage for chairs – Deb Stratmann will make some phone calls.

There will be a publicity night May 6th at 7pm.
