CLINTON COUNTY SHOWCASE REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES
November 18, 2009
The following were in attendance; Board Officers Jill Klostermann, Angie Hammel, Paul Klosterman, Mike Huelsmann, Charlie Huelsmann, Lois Kellermann and Deanna Ratermann, Rob Otrembiak. Also in attendance were Steve Klostermann, Lori Wahl, James Kellermann and Adam Broeckling.
Adoption of Agenda Meeting was called to order at 7:30 by Assistant Executive Director Jill Klostermann Motion to accept the agenda Second by Rob Otrembiak All in favor, motion carried
Approval of Minutes Add $10,000 to Motion about loan Motion to accept the minutes with ammendment Second by Charlie Huelsmann All in favor, motion carried
Reports of Officers
Asst. Executive Director Jill Klostermann - On behalf of Executive Director Dustin McSparin - Christmas Carol poster needs to be put up - Jill read a note regarding the SOP of the executive director. This is just a first draft. - Everyone needs to start working on their SOPs as well - Jill read a complaint received - Ad Hoc committees -Building Expansion Committee - Steve read his report on the committee -Logistics and Storage Committee -This subject is being moved to December
Secretary Report - Angie Hammel - The Newsletter will be out in January
Treasurer Report Lauren Fuehne - Everybody Loves Opal Report - Balance on hand as of the end of October = $32,964.36 - Total Income = $5,167.37 - Total Expenses = $2,824.05 - Balance on hand as of the end of November = $35,307.68

Publicity Committee Lois Kellermann - Posters for the next two show are being printed
House Management Committee Mike Huelsmann - The cast will be taking care of the 50/50 and ushering for Christmas Carol - Meeting the Wednesday before show Dec 2nd for cleaning and possible meeting - Sent popcorn popper to get fixed at a cost of $283.40
Fundraising Committee Jill Klostermann - Had a meeting last week - Discussed auction for next year, have decided on the venue which is All Saints Academy - Are in early stages of looking into getting a liquor license for auction - Also discussed the big anniversary celebration, will be in June - Will have another meeting to discuss this further - Fundraising committee is in charge of the budget according to the constitution. - Will begin to look at the budget for next year. Will start having fundraising committee meetings strictly concerning this topic. Tuesday December 8, 630-730 regular fund comm. meeting, 7:30 will be about next years budget.
Unfinished Business - 2010-2011 Show Selection - Rob Otrembiak made a motion that the board vote on each of the shows reported last meeting by the show selection committee for the 2010-2011 season. - Second by Mike Huelsmann - Five in favor, one opposed, motion carried Willy Wonka Jr Show Selection Committee makes a motion that Willy Wonka Jr be the youth musical Second by Rob Otrembiak All in favor motion passed Wizard of Oz Show selection Committee makes motion that Wizard of Oz be the August show Second by Rob Otrembiak All in favor motion passed Romeo and Juliet Show Selection Committee makes a motion that Romeo and Juliet be the September show Second by Rob Otrembiak Four in favor, two opposed, motion passed Why Bump Off Barnuby Show Selection Committee makes a motion that Why Bump off Barnuby be the October Show Second by Rob Otrembiak Two in favor, four opposed, motion does not pass A Christmas Story Show Selection Committee makes a motion that A Christmas Story be the December Show Second by Rob Otrembiak Four in favor, two opposed, motion passed To Kill a Mockingbird Show Selection Committee makes a motion that To Kill a Mockingbird be the February Show Second by Rob Otrembiak Mike Huelsmann makes a motion to send the show back for more information and table till next meeting. Second by Charlie Huelsmann All in favor motion passed 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee Show Selection Committee makes a motion that 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee be the April Show Second by Rob Otrembiak Five in favor, one opposed, motion passed
New Business - December Meeting - Charlie brings up a discussion on a Christmas party after the December meeting. - Rob Otrembiak makes a motion for a $100 allowance for A Christmas Carol due to adding a show and building rental. - Second by Mike Huelsmann - All in favor, motion passed
Next meeting December 15th at 7:30pm
Adjourn - Charlie made the motion to adjourn at 8:42pm - Second by Rob Otrembiak - All in favor, motion carried

Clinton County Showcase is a non-profit community arts group (Breese, Illinois) dedicated to promoting art, music, and theatre events. Our goal is to provide a creative artistic outlet for our youth as well as adults. To that end we have established the following Scholarships to be presented annually. |
