Clinton County Showcase
How to get
involved
So, now you have found Clinton County Showcase and you’re wondering
“How do I participate?”
It is as easy as a phone call or just showing up.
• If you would like to get involved by being in a show on stage, the
best way is to show up at the audition. The dates and times for
auditions are posted on the web or can be found in a season
brochure. You may also want to call the director of the show, prior
to the audition date, to find out what he or she will be looking for
at the auditions.
• If you would like to get involved behind the scenes on a
particular show, appearing at the audition or calling the director
would also be the way to go. He can point you in the right direction
to the producer of the show and or the person that may already be
lined up to spearhead the interest you may have; weather that be
painting sets, lighting, sound design, costuming, or any other way
you would like to get involved in the show without having to
actually step on stage in front of an audience.
• If you want to just find out a little more about the organization
and how it functions you can come to one of the monthly meetings.
They are open to the public and guests and interested parties are
always welcome. In general they are held the 4th Wednesday of the
month (This may change from year to year) but sometimes this date
needs to be changed, so the dates are posted on the website.
That’s basically it. If you have a true interest in Community
Theater and “the promotion of the arts in all of its forms” and have
some time to spend, Clinton County Showcase is here to help fulfill
that desire in you that says “I want to perform, or at least help
others do so.” We are for always looking people who have a passion
for live theater and art.
The key is taking the time to show up and get involved. You have
taken the first step already by checking out the website and finding
out more about who CCS is and how to get involved.
The next step it up to you. I’ll am sure I will see you at the
theater.
